Anybody related to Percival Owen Smith of Barrow upon Soar

Question

Hi - I am looking for anyone who has any information about Percival (Percy) Owen Smith. He lived in Barrow upon Soar and was a steward at Anstey working mens club in the 20's.

My gran was told that this man was her father but she never had confirmation as her mother and he never kept in touch (we believe he was married when they met.)

I have now taken a DNA test and see that I share DNA with people in his family tree but I never come close enough to finding any direct descendants who can tell me anything about him.

Absolutely anything would be worth everything. Thank you

Do you mean Anstey? Ansty and Anstey are different places - Ansty is in Warwickshire and Anstey in Leicestershire.

On the 1939 Register, Percival Owen Smith (born 07 Jul 1899) and his wife, Christine Ellen Smith (born 25 Apr 1898) were living at 32 Edward Street, Anstey, Barrow-Upon-Soar R.D., Leicestershire and had 2 other people in their household, whose records are still closed.

The National Probate Calendar gives a death date of 3 Aug 1971 and an address of 32 Edward Street, Anstey.
