Hi Wikitreers,
I’d like collaboration into this persons genealogy but more about this person…
He was married to Amanda his love and sure enough his memorial shows his wife as Amanda! I don’t think he called her Mary just Amanda
1.) Who was John Hendricks? Maybe also Jonathan at birth
2.) Is he associated with Philadelphia? Is there a Lyle or Lyola street? A busy street in 1865 with horses and carriages the clacking of horses hoofs against the brick type street? The street wasn’t dirt in 1865?
3.) Was he a banker?
4.) Did he travel from another area to reside in Philadelphia or this area in 1865? At the age of 25?
5.) What was his civil war history as a veteran?
6.) Who was his wife Mrs. Amanda Courson Hendricks?
7.) No children?
8.) Was the Middle name Andrew?
Any collaboration is appreciated
Thank you
Note: I believe he was a slender man of build and taller than the average man of his time. He wore very nice shiny dark color shoes a black suit or dark suit. The carriage brought his wife he called her “Amanda” to greet or meet him on Lyle or Lyola street in 1865 in Philadelphia he was I believe very excited to see her and how he loved her. He I believe was a banker or worked in that type of business and they were relocating in a new life there….the clacking of the horses hoofs on the street that was brick or hard material but not dirt….well to do it seemed but that’s all I get…maybe a John for short of Jonathan.
Edit: it’s possible this John and Amanda don’t match who I’m looking for but maybe they do hard to say but there might of been another John and Amanda in 1865 Philadelphia…
