Thank you so much, Bernard!  Your assistance in looking at my French ancestors records was hands down the best collaboration ever.  I really enjoyed learning from you, and I appreciate your translation efforts SO VERY MUCH.  We broke down a brick wall, and found so many interesting stories.  I couldn't have done this without you.  I truly appreciate you.

Thanks so much Kirby and to you all for your kind answers. Yes, I'm afraid I'm always ready to jump down any new rabbit hole, when all you need to open the doors is to be a native Frenchie, familiar with our treasure of public records we have here in France.

It turns out that Kirby's ancestor Joseph Pierre had a posterity on both sides of the pond, and it will be fun to unfold the descendancy of his daughter Barbe Pierre who have moved to connect their native Lorraine to various regions of France, including Algeria when it was part of the "French Empire".

Where are French cousins of Kirby by now? Maybe we'll find out!
