What a wonderful photo. The power of black and white to give us so many details missed in ʻliving colorʻ is amazing.
On first look I thought she was elderly, but that is not the case. Her jaw and neck are firm, no sagging; her hands and arms are of a mature, but youngish woman. And, of course, her hair is still dark.
Do you know the date of the photo? What compound is on the walls surrounding the stove? Since the other walls in view are wood plank, are the stove area walls plastered to prevent fires?
I want to know a lot more about her and the house and why she is posed by the stove, what the floor is made of, is there glass in the windows?
