Can someone help to place this WWI into correct Category ?

Hello, can someone help to put the correct World War I category to this German Soldier.

Per the Ancestry Records he was in 

II Ersatz-Bataillon/8 bayer. Inf. Regt. (Metz)

and

18. bayer. Infanterie-Regiment

Date is 1916, 5th May ... June 1917.

I am not an military expert. And I am kind of confused by the mixed list in [[:Category: Imperial German Army, World War I|Imperial German Army, World War I category]] ... I do not find a 18th Bavarian Regiment in there. So if someone from the project could just add the correct category, this would be great.

Perhaps someone from Germany project could weigh in. I have examined the Regiment categories and they're sort of "all over the place" with names. I believe they need a closer look. Anyway, not sure how/where these two categories fit, and I've been looking only at English Wikipedia for clues. For now, you can add the category for Imperial German Army to the profile

I linked it to the German Stammtisch (schedule https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Space:Stammtisch), as I am part of Germany project and I am overwelmed by that "interesting" substructure in that category. I was more hoping for the Great War project to take that up. I was aksing for someone interested in military ... may be it is possible to find a "mentor" for this category and its sub cats

I'm the leader of Great War "project" though there really is not an active group. I am willing to work with Germany project to get the categories for Germany's armed forces into better shape.
