Create Free Space Profile for Family Bible with Large PDF's?

I want to create a source for several persons in my tree from a family bible.  The owner graciously furnished copies of excellent detail in the form of PDF's which are about 30 Mb each!  At first, I converted them to JPG's, switched to grayscale and reduced resolution so that each page was less than 4Mb.  The free profile system rejected them as too large.  Since the entries in the bible are handwritten, fine detail is needed to determine some entries. Hence, large files!  I then converted each page back to a PDF and they were accepted but, as PDF's, they have no thumbnail or preview, making the profile difficult to read.
There must be a better way!  Suggestions?  Many thanks.

I understand the necessity of detail with handwriting. Is a link to an offsite download a possibility for you?
I have no problem with setting up a folder on my Google Drive account but I am thinking about posterity.  This bible was an incredible, once-in-a-lifetime find and I want it to be available to everyone long after I and my Google account have moved on.  Assuming Wikitree grows and prospers, I think it is a better repository.
Hi Robert. Could you please give details of the error message or what else you observed when you tried to upload a 4-megabyte JPG? That should have worked, because according to the image upload page, the limit is 10 megabytes.

Sure, Jim.  I get "Sorry, this image cannot be processed. It may be too large or complex. Please contact us for help."  So I switched to PDF.  The file size is 3.9Mb.

Thanks Robert. That is surprising, and may be a bug. If you edit your original post above and add the tag  bugs  , perhaps it will be able to be investigated.

"Bugs" tags added.

The limitations of WikiTree are a question for tech. I tried to add the tag 'tech' to the question but it didn't accept it so maybe it's already in the tech part of G2G. Jamie Nelson or someone else should be along with more detail on what is and isn't possible from the tech angle.

Edit: something is causing issues trying to just append this as a Comment to the other comments.

The "WikiTree Tech" category for G2G questions, supplemented by a tag such as  bugs  , has replaced the old  tech  tag, . See

Maybe upload it to archive.org or somewhere similar?

I, too, have a family document that I scanned at high resolution.  I uploaded it to Archive.org and made a free space page here linking it to the Archive.  Here's a link.
