Perhaps add the information and is source as a comment to the profile before editing so as to give those interested in the profile a forewarning of the changes you are planning to make and thereby allow for discussion

You should be more concerned with sources that support the facts and relationships especially for pre-1700.  Seems like this profile and all his connected relatives (who you seem to have been working on) have 0 sources attached to their profiles only links to user created family trees on other websites (not sources).

Sorry wait I didn't notice you have one source attached, fichier Originé.  Which shows Jean Roy et Marguerite Chasgneau listed as parents of the attached son Mathurin. Mathurin and his attached wife aren't the parents of his attached child [[Roy-31|Mathurin Roy (abt.1611-bef.1681)]].

Thank you for detaching Roy-31. But now Roy-1571 and Dugas-407 are a mess, and they refer to a source (Fichier Origine for Roy-31) that does not even mention them.

Before doing anything about it, I would like to understand what happen. There is a comment of Isabelle Rassinot from 2018 on Julienne Dugas' profile saying that Fichier Origine is "a fine source" for her. Has there been a change in the content of Fichier Origine? Like, when the 1636 marriage contract was found, the parents of Mathurin Roy were changed?
