He is one of those confusing ones... King James VI and I.  James Charles Stuart became King James VI of Scotland when he was one year old.  Many years later, on March 24, 1603, he became King James I of England.  He lived in a time of immense turmoil.  There was ongoing animus between the English and the Scottish; violent conflicts between the Catholics and Protestants; friction between the Highlanders and lowland Scots; growing Puritanism; witch trials;  the establishment of colonies in America and the Plantation of Ulster; plagues; and the political turmoil caused by the doctrine of the Devine Right of Kings.  He was even kidnapped for a time.  Yet he survived and lived to age 58.

He is my 5th cousin 12 times removed.

The one part many history buffs don’t research is his “Personal Relationships of James VI and I” see Wikipedia which I didn’t know much about until more reading on his life very interesting

See: Esmé (Stuart) Stuart First Duke of Lennox (1542 - 1583)

See: George Villiers (1592 - 1628) "1st Duke of Buckingham"

See: Robert (Kerr) Carr First Earl of Somerset (1587 - 1645)

I believe James VI and I had some medical issues some disabilities or deformities maybe but need more sources

Hope to see more about his personal relationships maybe added to his profile bio etc but the video was excellent. I’d also like to see more about his physical ailments maybe disabilities etc also…he is definitely a huge key figure on shaping history

You mean he ascended the English throne. He had already been King of Scots for more than 30 years.

He is my 2nd cousin,13x removed. Don't forget, this was also the day that Elizabeth I (my 4th cousin, 14x removed) passed away.
