Dead-end ancestor: Ann Durass, mother of Elizabeth C. Durass

Good evening folks,

I've turned up a piece of information regarding a fourth-degree ancestor where one of the family lines dead ends, my great grandmother's [[Durass-6|Elizabeth Catherine (Durass) Pike (1858-1923)]] mother, who I've seen referred to in documents as both "Ann Durass" and "Annie Durass". The only official source I've found referring to her so far has been her death certificate, which was made out in her married name.

The information comes from a handwritten note which, inter alia, indicates that Elizabeth's mother's maiden name was Ann Monaghan. The original document is in my mother's possession, but I have a scanned copy. I believe that it was part of a collection of photos and papers passed down to my mother from hers. I suspect that the author might have been Theodore J. Pike, Elizabeth's husband, as he was a railway worker and the document is written on a sheet from a railway notepad.

I'm currently stumped regarding avenues for finding any further detail regarding Ann and her parents. She may have emigrated to Australia, but I've no experience with Irish or English records, and I would be grateful for any suggestions. Thank you.

In Ancestry's database 'New South Wales, Australia, Assisted Immigrant Passenger Lists, 1828-1896' there is the following:

Patrick Dorris, married male immigrant, a native of Co. Fermanagh, son of ?Barney and Frances Anne his wife, who was 27 years of age at embarkation on the 'Lord Western' in 1840 and a Labourer; his 'character' was certified by Hugh ?Copeland and John Wilson of Cavancaragh (possibly Cavancarragh according to a list of townlands of County Fermanagh?).

Anne Dorris, married female immigrant, a native of Fermanagh, daughter of Bryan Monagham a farmer and Bridget Nolan his wife, who was 26 years of age at embarkation on the 'Lord Western'.

Both being recorded as Roman Catholic.  There were no recorded children travelling with them.

Edit: indexed on Family Search as Douris.
