My wife and her sister have been doing research for the Irwins of New Athens Ill. The last burial in this Cemetery was 1935.
We are attempting to add gravestone, and are vetting information multiple times. We also have contacted the New Athens Historical society and they have been very helpful. We were told we were not the first to be asking about the Irwins, and we were told that two people from the Nashville area of Tennessee made several calls. Their names are Robert (Bob) Irwin and John O Irwin. Would love to connect with Bob and John! Also, we have created a Facebook page for the Irwin Cemetery that is public.
