Relationship of the Grahams, Daniel Boone & Davey Crockett

Question

My deceased wife's grandmother & great grandmother told her that the Graham family was related to the Daniel Boone & Davey Crockett families back some 8 or 9 generations back.

My wife was researching her Graham ancestry back in the 90s & early 2000s before she died. However, she only was able to go back 4 or 5 generations.

If anyone has traced how the Graham family intersected with the Boone & Crockett families I would appreciate learning, so I can I pass this on to my daughter.
