I am looking for Henry McPeake  my paternal great grandfather. He lived in Dooish, Drumquin. He was married to Susan who later died and then he married Jane Nethery.

I suspect this is your Henry [[McPike-205|Henry McPike (abt.1842-)]]

His first wife was actually Mary McCourt (M'Cord/McCord), his mother was named Susan (unknown), and Henry and Mary had a daughter Susan who married Michael McLoughlin. The linked profile is very thorough with research notes and explains why there could be some confusion with his father's first name. I agree with the notes in that there is nothing to contradict that his father was actually named Roger and not James, and that the first marriage record could just be a mistake or his father was known locally as James?

As mentioned by ClaireSuzy C - https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/McPike-205 is your person.  "McPike" and "McPeak" were variations of the same name; spelling was very fluid in those times.

I created the profile and have been in touch with a great-grandchild of Henry, we researched this family together.

There was some incorrect information in other people's trees on different websites regarding his first wife but I believe his WikiTree profile has solid sources and reasoning now, but do feel free to leave any comments or engage in discussion.

There is a photo of his parents' headstone attached to their profiles.

Matt, I totally believe your research is solid having spent a few hours down a rabbit hole, there is indeed a lot of wrong info out there, but thanks to the work you have done (with sources and reasoning here on WT) I cannot see any reason to debunk

and of course that's how Irish geneaology works too, records were limited but connecting families and DNA helps, thank you!!
