I'm getting an Error 897: Error in template parameters -- Unknown date: Named parameter: date -- {Hold Request|id=WikiTree-58|name=Canada Project|date=06 May 2024}}.

I don't see anything wrong with that date...?

I did some more work on template parameter checking.

I added support for long month names and corrected all other dates.

Here you can see the dates that are not recognized. https://www.softdata.si/wt/Templ_20240324/Template_Hold_Request.htm

I also added date range checking. Allowed day is from today to today + 180 days. Suggestions will be created on Monday.

Remove the leading 0 in the date of 06

omg, Kay, that needs to go in the template instructions page, I've read it like a million times and never solved that error.
As someone who wrote software for 20 years, I'm disappointed in code that can't strip off a leading zero, or recognize "06" as a valid day.
And, Celia, one of the examples on that page includes a day with a leading zero!
And add to the confusion, there are websites that Require the leading 0, and give you an error message if you don't have a 06.

Just checked with Ales.  2 issues in the Suggestions

1. Month should only be 3 letter month

2. Day should not have leading 0

Thanks Richard.  Glad we know what the restrictions are now.
