Need help creating links to Wiki Profiles.

Question

I new to actually adding people and sources and writing bios.

I was trying to create a link to my mothers parents in her bio. Example: Geraldine was born in 1931 to [DeLoy-16|William DeLoy] and [Gahn-454|Elza Gahn].

I think I'm following the help section, but no matter what I do they don't come out as links.

What am I missing? TIA

It should be double square brackets rather than single.

Another way to create the links is found in the edit button tools at the top of your text box in Edit Mode.  The button 4th from the left looks like a tree with a link inside.  This button creates a link to other wikitree profiles.  Simply highlight your text, then click on the wikitree link button, and it creates the link for you (or adds the brackets around your text).
