I see that you commented on your own page using your wife's (?) account. Could that be where some of the info you have added has "disappeared"?
Do you have the same email as your wife?  Just wondering why wikitree would mix you up

Did you check out this page? Help:GEDCOMpare (wikitree.com)  I re-read it just now since I had a little trouble after I refreshed my matches, but I think I got it now! (edit, typo)

I agree with Elaine you should check out the GEDCOMpare help page. And to explain the basics a bit futher:

After you upload a GEDCOM file, WikiTree will generate a  GEDCOMpare report that allows you to compare the person information in your GEDCOM file with person profiles that already exist in the WikiTree global tree. You can view your GEDCOMpare reports under My WikiTree > GEDCOMs

Using the GEDCOMpare report, if you confirm a match to an existing profile, you can use data from your GEDCOM to edit that WikiTree profile (use this cautiously if the profile is managed by another member or if it looks like a fair amount of work has went into the profile).

You can also use your GEDCOMpare report to add new profiles to WikiTree, but only after you have confirmed or rejected ALL the suggested matches for every person in the GEDCOMpare report. The "add" button will only appear in the GEDCOMpare screen after you have done this. This is to ensure no duplicates are created in WikiTree when adding from your GEDCOM file.

GEDCOMpare is confusing to many WikiTreers. You appear to have made the common mistake of thinking that ticking the checkbox to the left of a name will cause some action to occur. That is not the way it works.

The checkbox is there for our convenience in keeping track of our progress. It indicates that you have determined that there is no further need to process the person's GEDCOM entry -- possibly because the person was already in WikiTree or you have added them, or possibly because the person was born too early to be added via GEDCOMpare, or perhaps because your GEDCOM entry doesn't have enough information to be the basis for a profile.

For people for whom you ticked the box for other reasons, I remove that you remove the tickmarks (just tick the box again, and the tickmark will go away). Then focus on getting every suggested match marked as "MATCH" or "REJECT."

Hi Don,

Along with the help pages, there are help videos, if you prefer. Plus the new member zoom chat.

https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Space:New_Member_Q_and_A_via_Zoom

You can also find the mentor list under the Help drop down menu.

WikiTree can be daunting at first but persevere and I think you will find it worth the effort.

Hope that helps!
