GEDCOM download of bigger watchlist?

Question

The page Download a GEDCOM says that a GEDCOM download from WikiTree can not have more than 10 000 profiles in it. What happens if my watchlist has more profiles than 10 000?

Can I then to a GEDCOM download at all? Will it skip the profiles that are at the end of the alphabet with their WikiTree-IDs? Or the numeric profile IDs? Or the ones I added the latest? Or something I don't come up with?

If you have over 10,000 profiles you can't download your whole watchlist. You will get the message:

"Your Watchlist has over 10,000 profiles. Therefore, it cannot be exported as a single file. You might want to export trees that start with certain individuals. You should also consider reducing the size of your Watchlist."

If size is a problem, you could select multiple specific WT-IDs and download each persons tree, then in your upload system, add each of them, which should give you the result you want.

I'm not worried about size, I just want to know the consequences. Selecting descendants or ancestors of a particular person will not nearly get me to a complete download of my watchlist.

Put simply you have to download overlapping gedcoms if your watchlist exceeds 10,000, and stitch them together in another program such as Rootsmagic, then save that tree as a combined gedcom. A pain but that's the cost of a large watchlist. I'm trying to reduce mine as it's too large.
