As a relative wiktree newbie and (I like to think) someone who tries to be concientious about profiles, how frustrating and timewasting it feels to be is to have to check so many unsourced profiles or rather profiles that are sourced in a way that adds no value ie "personal knowledge" "ancestry tree" or "FindAGrave" (with no link).
However, I'm not sure that multi-adding unsourced would help. At the moment, I take comfort from trying to add some sort of location to the unsourced category and (if possible) odd bits of additional detail to the birth/death locations to help others with the same profile (in a minority of cases I even manage to source them!). I like to think that adding an unsourced category individually means a little bit more thought than the original profile add-er did and gives a better chance of the profile being picked up in a sourcers challenge, of by someone looking for a match.
More pertinently, wikitree is difficult to start with, you deserve a star for spotting someone who may be struggling and for reaching out. Don't stop doing that with others because of one response.
