This is my great grandmother's profile--it looks like it's orphaned--can I adopt it?

I would like to add Frances (Fisher) Gerhardt to my family tree. She was my great grandmother and helped raise me for part of my childhood. It looks like this profile is orphaned, and I would love to adopt it ad add more detailed information for her listing.

You need to have made at least 100 contributions before you can adopt.

I'm surprised this is true for a direct relative! Unfortunately I'm not able to make many edits because my recent ancestors have orphaned pages I'm unable to contribute to.

You can make edits to orphaned pages, you just can't adopt them.

Ros, she has now signed the Honor code and has adopted many profile.  I think that was the missing piece was that the Honor Code was not signed.

I have sent a message to Jamie because the Help Page for Orphaned Profiles states Honor Code must be signed AND 100 edits.

The contributions for Kristi shows that she signed the Honor Code after she asked the 2nd question. Reviewing all of her contributions, it shows that 153 of 169 contributions, not edits, are from her ability to Adopt Profiles 'immediately' after she signed the Honor Code.  So, there is a discrepancy somewhere, either the Help Page should be updated OR there is a bug that is allowing the Adopting before 100 edits, which to me, is not the same as contributions.

As Ros said you need to make more contributions before you can adopt but you can add her to your family tree and make changes to her profile.  Please be sure to add sources for your changes.
