Hi fellow WikiTreers and Genealogists!

I have taken over management of the First Settlers in Lancaster County Free Space and begun adding resources.  This is of personal interest to me as all my maternal ancestors were in this group of Lancaster Settlers 1709-1719 and as I have amassed a good quantity of resources tracking them down, I am sharing major pieces of what is contained in my Zotero library.

My first goal is to add Books (first preference is for those available online and in public domain, followed by print books and where to find them), Lancaster County links, Name Specific resources especially for Palatine immigrants we know were in Lancaster County and Cemeteries.  As many of the Palatine Immigrants were Mennonites, many or most names and resources reflect that population.

Do you have other suggestions? Should we add in references for Ships Records especially at the port of Philadelphia?  Palatine Mennonite Census Lists?  Resources for researching our Lancaster Mennonite forbears in Switzerland, Alsace and the Palatinate?

I would like also to mention that my original Metz ancestor [[Metz-1174|Lodowick Metz Sr (abt.1705-abt.1756)]], although a Palatine Immigrant, is an enigma in the records. As I have been working to track him down I have uncovered a wealth of information for many of the early Lancaster families along with our own family records and histories.  We will be completing a "beta edition" book in the near future which also includes history of the areas in which Mennonites found themselves during and after the Reformation.

We plan to make this freely available online (copyrighted) with repositories to be determined.  Perhaps you also have ideas regarding this work.

Please feel free to comment or reach out to me directly with any suggestions, comments, etc.  Of course, since this is WikiTree, please also contribute directly to the Free Space but I will request you contribute full citations as are already present.  If you are not sure how to do this I can assist.

Thank you, I am honored to be part of the WikiTree family.

Thank you for sharing your research. The work you have done thus far on the free-space page is not only well-researched and properly cited, but also clearly presented and well organized.
