I have added it to his profile, family tree has him born in Plenty, Victoria. With no source so I added his findagrave.

A John Horrigan and an Abbe or Abbey Shine were the parents of a son also called John Horrigan in Plenty in Victoria in 1863. It's not clear if this is the John Horrigan that Marg is interested in, but it's unlikely, because Abbey (Shine) Horrigan did not die till 1920; there are several death records for men named John Horrigan in Victoria. In any case, the birth record of the son says nothing about the birthplace of the father. I think Plenty is irrelevant.

John Horrigan lived in Guildford WA  he worked as a labourer he married a Mary Maloney/Gorman in Guildford 1862, his date of birth is listed as 1831 but I have no confirmation of this other than he was born in Ireland and emigrated to Australia I have no idea what ship, it has been said the Sophia which arrived here in 1850 there are 2 men with the name of Horrigan but it is not John, they are not related. Mary arrived here in 1859 on the Hamilla Mitchell, no John on that ship either.

Any help would be most appreciated.
