Do we add private cemeteries?

If so, could I get one added for the Stirling Family Mausoleum on the Muiravonside property?

It is no longer in use, if that matters.   The family estate became a park, but the graveyard is still there.  Here is a link from Find A Grave, but there are actually more people there than they claim.

TW Stirling is the last person buried there.

Thanks, Brenda

This is the BillionGraves link: https://billiongraves.com/cemetery/Muiravonside-Church-Whitecross/296443 (23 entries)

Hi Aaron, thanks but that's the cemetery for the parish church rather than the private family graveyard.
Interesting because they share entries.
I think it's probably due to confusion of someone not realizing that there are two separate graveyards in Muiravonside.  I'll check out the BG listings.

In short, yes, we document private cemeteries.

However, we will need some help of the Scotland Project on this one. I am not familiar enough with the area to create the correct category location name here.

For reference, the official name of the cemetery would be "Muiravonside House Graveyard" and have an AKA of "Stirling Family Graveyard." SMR 850 (Edwardian Conservation status) by the Falkirk Council.

There is a beautiful history of the House and Graveyard on the Falkirk Local History Society website.

Thanks Steven - that saved me a lot of research time smiley

Thank you, Steven.

Yes, I've read that page before, in fact, again last night.

It's been created as Muiravonside House Graveyard, Muiravonside, Falkirk and Thomas Stirling has been added.

Thank you, Sheena.

I will add the others to it as I get to them.
Thanks, Sheena! I was unsure of the "location" part of that category, so I figured it would be best to leave it to a Scottish expert :)

Thanks again!
