I have added two tags and a link to Samuel Holloway's profile. Hopefully, this will help to attract the attention of someone able to help.
thank you Michael.  Just realized that I wrote "John" and it should be "James Holloway" as the second Holloway we are researching.
we believe that the surgeon John Holloway who arrived on the eastern shore of Maryland circa 1608 and the Holloways of Poquoson, VA may be related to the Holloway's in Philadelphia, PA.
Most likely I'm a Holloway relative. I do not have a lot of Time to play with. I'm just saying Hello  :)

FWIW, the FamilySearch profile you're citing is a family in Frome, Somerset, England that doesn't appear to have been in Pennsylvania by 1808 if ever. I don't think that can be the same Samuel Holloway.
This thread somehow persists with your answer having the most upvotes. The Samuel Holloway you identified in Somerset, England is easily proven as not the same Samuel Holloway who died at the The Alamo.

Brian, if you have an uninterrupted male lineage back to the family of this Samuel Holloway, a Y-DNA kit at FamilyTreeDNA could help to identify his ancestry. His profile claims that he was a son of  Capt. James S. Holloway and Martha Owen Spencer, but their son Samuel was born and died in Jessamine Co., Kentucky. I don't know off the top of my head that any Poquoson, VA Holloways removed to Pennsylvania in that timeframe. It's possible, but I generally find Holloways in PA, IN, and OH to have been descendants of John Holloway and Mary Pharo of NJ or one of the more northern Quaker branches.

My name is Ginger Holloway. It is possible I'm related to other Holloways from Virginia, Georgia, NC, possibly Texas too.  :)

Judy Holloway on Facebook is a cousin of mine whom claims Native American ancestry.   ginger Holloway

I'd be interested in knowing more about Judy Holloway's claim of Native American ancestry. My grandmother, Eliza Holloway, whose Holloway line goes backthrough Pt. Pleasant W.va. and Virginia - as well as her daughter (my mother) - both made the same claim but I have no facts to back it up and haven't found any. Any help is appreciated. -
