Sharon was incorporated in 1739 and named after the Plain of Sharon, a fertile region mentioned in the Bible.

Keep an eye out for the "Sharon Cows," life-sized cow statues painted by local artists and scattered throughout the town.

My grandparents bought a summer cottage in Sharon (what people in upstate NY would call a "camp") more than 50 years ago. Have spent quite a few days at the town beach at Mudge Pond/

And I'm jealous of that map!

My husband's family has some people from Sharon, CT, in the tree. I'll have to check to see if they've been marked and add it if not. Though I'll have to see the format of the One Place.

That would be great to have them added to the OPS. The sticker to add to the profiles is located on the study page.
Thanks! I’ll add that to my To Do list!
