When I use this Global Cemeteries whatsit in my Edit page:

[[Category: Bonaventure Cemetery, Savannah, Georgia]] {{Global Cemeteries|place=[[Space:Bonaventure Cemetery, Savannah, Georgia|Bonaventure Cemetery]]}}

it yields:

Global Cemeteries Project

xxxxx xxxxxxxx is buried in Bonaventure Cemetery.

Is it possible to change "is buried" to 'is memorialized' or similar?

Hi Jim. Sorry to bring bad news, but in fact that sticker has been "deprecated" and should not be used on profiles at all. The category is considered sufficient. See

https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Template:Global_Cemeteries

I like the stickers, it makes it very obvious that the person profiled is buried in a particular cemetery.

For people who might be interested in an area, and a cemetery and those buried there, it stands out and says look at me!

Otherwise you don't know where they were buried unless you scroll to the bottom of the page.

We have lots of stickers for born in this place, lived in this place, has ancestors who are ..., migrated from, have English ancestors, was a shoemaker, was almost any job you can think of, the list is almost endless.
I like the stickers, too.  It makes a bit of info you might want to call attention to stand out.

In my situation I have a stillborn who is not buried there but is memorialized on the gravestone so I wanted to change the text ‘buried’ to something more appropriate and accurate.

Look here

https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Template:Global_Cemeteries

It says the template was "deprecated" and was reformatted to display as a sticker. This template should not be used on any new profiles.

Of you look at the bottom line of the sticker examples, there is one for cremated and launched into space.

I think you could modify the sticker to include the details you want.

A sticker is a template, of a particular kind. The text says the template was changed from a Project Box to a sticker. But since it was deprecated, it should not be used at all.

{{Global Cemeteries|…}} should not be used on any profile.

Jim, I don't pretend to understand the formatting for stickers vs templates but:

'Stickers are to honor a person or otherwise highlight something that's deemed to be very important about them.'

We have stickers that say many variations of Joseph Smith was born in England, or Joseph Smith was a farmer or a plumber. While this information may be interesting it is not important.

As a possible part of a One Place Study or a Cemetery project study, location is important.

Cemetery Stickers are an important part of information about people who are buried in a particular cemetery.

Yes people can scroll to the bottom of the profile page to check where a person was buried, but having a sticker on the profile immediately informs a viewer that the person was buried in a particular location.

I have been contacted by many people about their ancestors who are buried at Alton Cemetery, Peel, Ontario, Canada, ( my cemetery Project) because they saw the sticker front and centre on the person's profile.

As I need to get up at 4.30 am Eastern Standard time I will not comment further.

When I have more time available I will discuss this with the Cemeterist Project.
