No proof for parents except Ancestry and FamilySearch trees

The only hints I can find about Civil War soldier Robert Steven Lang's parents are that the parents' names are listed on Ancestry and FamilySearch. Alas, no records/sources. Should I add the parents with Research Notes or not add them since there are no records?

Edit: I realize I could add the supposed parents to WT and not connect them to Robert, but my goal is to better connect Robert.

You could try looking for probate records for the supposed parents. See if they mention the names of children.
Thanks, I'll check into probate records.

In the case that I just have names and no other info, I just note who the parents are in the profile for clarity. I do not create profiles for them as dates and Place would just be a guess.
