I wanted to share this family "Sampler" of the Briggs, Emery, Fuller, and Williams family because it is such a beautiful work of thoughtfulness by Nancy Emery (Carrie's elder sister) recording family history. Perhaps the coming generations will rediscover this elegant form. Created: Brookfield, Orange, Vermont, United States. Date: Aug 5th 1858. Current location; New Canaan, CT.
-Warmest Regards, Tom W.

Thank you for sharing this. It is such a wonderful thing for someone to take the time and do. I have seen a number of records from which people get their information such as family Bibles, etc. Perhaps Nancy got the information from a like source and decided to make this chart.

The closest I have is a hand written list by my father's mother of her 2 husbands (widowed then remarried) and her children with birth dates for everyone and death dates for the 3 children who died young.

Thank you Luther, glad you like it. Even your grandmother's handwritten list is a treasure... scan it and post it!  I'm looking online to find a "sampler kit" without the cross-stich aspect. I'm a Scout leader, and will be teaching the Genealogy Merit Badge this Spring... I can get the boys to do a lot of things, but (just maybe) cross-stiching is a bridge too far... some sort of stick-on letters to a poster might work.  -Cheers

Oh, how true! Actually... you just gave me an alternative idea... per my comment above about teaching the Scouts... some would indeed prefer to "design" something... thank you! :-)
