Can I have a category for New Mill, Yorkshire please?

Good morning!

Vision of Britain is down for me this morning, but I think New Mill https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/New_Mill,_West_Yorkshire counts as a village? For Elizabeth Broadhead, linked.

Also, Elizabeth's movements have given me some pause for thought about other categories (let me know if these should be seperate questions).

The first is in relation to Cumberworth (in the parish of Penistone) and Cumberworth Half (in the parish of Kirkburton).

"CUMBERWORTH-HALF, a township, partly in the parish of Emley, Lower division of Agbrigg wapentake, and partly in the parish of Kirk-Burton, union of Huddersfield"
"Cumberworth, a chapelry in the parish of Silktone, and Half-Cumberworth, a township in the parish of Kirk-Burton, are contiguous to each other, situate 5½ miles north-west from Penistone."
"Following legislation, the complex township boundaries of the two townships were simplified and Cumberworth Half became the township of Skelmanthorpe on 23 February 1876.

Skelmanthorpe is a category already. Cumberworth isn't. So maybe it isn't a confusion problem as yet, but I'm wondering if it might be possible to put a note on the Skelmanthorpe page that it was previously known as Cumberworth Half? Trying to think about future confusion as it has certainly got me scratching my head.

Finally, having checked Genuki, because vision of britain is down, I am wondering if it might be possible to have a category for Upper Denby, seperate from Denby and Denby Dale (perhaps Denby Upper so it is filed in the same place). I've only just worked out these are seperate places and would need to do some correcting, but it can make a difference as to which parish for people living on the border between Kirkburton and Penistone. Again for Elizabeth.

Thanks

Hi Natasha. Thank you for asking for the new category, and for the information on Cumberworth, and Upper Denby.

I've just time right now to create the New Mill category, which I've done, and added to the profile. See New Mill, Yorkshire.

I'll get back later today on the other items.

Looking at Cumberworth (that is, the Yorkshire one, not the Lincolnshire one) British History Online describes Cumberworth as a chapelry, with two villages - Upper Cumberworth and Lower Cumberworth. Both these have WikiData entries, but not, apparently, Vision of Britain pages (The VoB site is down, so I can't check properly). Thus Cumberworth itself should not have a category. The two villages could.

Cumberland-Half is described as a township, which includes parts of the hamlets of Skelmanthorpe and Scissett. Both hamlets have categories. The township shouldn't.

Upper Denby is complicated by the fact that there are two of them in Yorkshire! Both have WikiData entries, but not, apparently, Vision of Britain.

One is in the parish of Denby Dale, which parish also has villages called Denby Dale, Lower Denby, plus several others. The village of Denby Dale has a category. Upper and Lower Denby could both have categories.

The second Upper Denby is in Kirkburton. I can see it on old OS Maps. There is also a Lower Denby. Both were very small settlements, which I couldn't see named on modern maps, although I can see a few houses in each location.
Thanks Roy. I'll have another look when Vision of Britain is back up as well. I am starting to get a better understanding of how people described these places across the censuses and hence what might prove useful to future researchers in terms of categories. In the meantime, I'll just put extra explanations in the biographies and take care with the birth places so they are as clear as possible. With some of the names which crop up a lot those small distinguishing places make a difference. I appreciate you taking the time to look into it. (and thanks for New Mill too - I didn't even realise it was a place until I started diving into it!).
Currently extra interested since i discovered Jodie Whittaker was from Skelmanthorpe - managed to accurately figure out her father https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Whittaker-3197, who's own father came from Darton so hoping to find a closer connection!
