We are getting so close. In January we connected another 42 U.S. governors. That brings our grand total to 540 and leaves us with just 73 governors left to connect! All 73 are still living, which makes them a greater challenge, but 15 of them were born before 1950 (meaning they should show up in the census) and many others have already been connected to deceased parents.
Of the country's 50 current state governors, only 19 15 remain unconnected from the Big Tree. Here's the list:
Katie Hobbs, Arizona
J.B. Pritzker, Illinois
Laura Kelly, Kansas
Maura Healey, Massachusetts
Tim Walz, Minnesota (connected)
Tate Reeves, Mississippi
Mike Parson, Missouri (connected)
Joe Lombardo, Nevada
Chris Sununu, New Hampshire
Phil Murphy, New Jersey
Michelle Lujan Grisham, New Mexico
Roy Cooper, North Carolina
Tina Kotek, Oregon
Josh Shapiro, Pennsylvania
Dan McKee, Rhode Island
Bill Lee, Tennessee
Phil Scott, Vermont
Glenn Youngkin, Virginia (connected)
Tony Evers, Wisconsin (connected)
If you are interested in helping us connect our final batch of U.S. governors, we can absolutely use your help! Head over to our Unconnected Governors list to see which governors still need connecting. Or head over to an already connected governor and see what you can do to improve their profile. Many have little or no biography, while others lack links to parents, siblings, spouses, and children. Remember, every contribution helps make WikiTree that much stronger.
