U.S. Governors Project - February 2024

Question

We are getting so close. In January we connected another 42 U.S. governors. That brings our grand total to 540 and leaves us with just 73 governors left to connect! All 73 are still living, which makes them a greater challenge, but 15 of them were born before 1950 (meaning they should show up in the census) and many others have already been connected to deceased parents. 

Of the country's 50 current state governors, only 19 15 remain unconnected from the Big Tree. Here's the list:

Tim Walz, was Governor of Minnesota, not Michigan. However, it looks like his parents are created: 

Father [[Walz-672|James Frederick Walz (1929-1984)]]

Jim has a connected wife, but it looks like she is unlisted.

Thanks Megan. Sometimes I have trouble mixing up the "M" states! I attached Gov. Walz's father, so the Governor is now connected to the Big Tree.  

I also connected Gov. Youngkin overnight, so that's two to cross off our list.

Gov. Martin Schreiber of Wisconsin is now connected. His mother's sister married a Pritzlaff. The progenitor of this family was already on WikiTree. Christine - you missed this one by just one more connection!  You did a great job on this family none-the-less.
