How to get Public Name to display as a link to a profile

Question

I'm trying to create a list of links to person profiles, which I want to display as the names of the persons. I know I can type it as [[Doe-123 | Jane Doe]], but for living individuals that might be revealing info not otherwise available and I may not know/remember that Jane is living to type the link as Living Doe. Is there a format that will use the Public Name for Doe-123 as the displayed link?  Thank you.

I don't think so sorry, Kurt. I think you would need to check the privacy level on the profile yourself, then (for example) type in

[[Doe-123|Living Doe]]

manually.

But maybe it's better not to list living people at all. See
