Citations not showing on profile

I have noticed that when I add a citiation, the number comes up but there is no info in the sources section. This does not happen on all profiles. What am I doing wrong?

When that happens it usually means that the <references /> line is missing. This tag tells the system where to put the source citations for the inline references.
