Do you have ancestors who participated in the American Revolutionary War? Do you have an interest in the historical aspects of this war? If so, we are looking for new members to join.

Project recognition (and Wikitree member participation) is not limited to the soldiers and civilians who fought for American independence - this project recognizes service from all nationalities including British, French, Spanish, Native American, and others.

I want to join the American Revolutionary War (1776) Project. I am a retired institutional/administrative coordinator for a large graduate medical education center, so my skills could be helpful in many different ways. I have many Revoluntary War Ancestors, although I am not a member of the DAR or any other society, which has never been one of my goals. However, I love to help others with any genealogical endeavor they have.

I have no specific team assignment in mind, but my ancestors were in Virginia, North Carolina, and South Carolina.

Hello,
My ancestors have been in New England for 400 years or thereabouts. I'm still here bopping back and forth between Quincy, Massachusetts and Northern Worcester County. I'm not much help outside of New England-I feel disoriented researching places I've never been- but I know my people and how to dig up their details. I think the profile improvement tream is the best fit for me. Thanks for the invitation!

I want to join this project. I’m actively trying to get my papers accepted at DAR. The first try was on a line that my 1st-cousin once removed had submitted years ago and it needs more work. So I’m trying a different line just to get my app approved and I will go back and do more work on the first one.

I have 23 years of online research experience. I descend from Rev. War vets in VA, PA, NY and I have one in NJ who is a mystery I am trying to solve. I have a Hessian German immigrant ancestor who fought for England but deserted and became an American. I also have relatives, not ancestors, among the Dutch who lived in NY who became Loyalists and went to Canada, though my branch remained in NY. I would like to join the group please.

Would love to join some projects for the 1776 cause! I have been performing genealogical research for about 10 years now with a focus on my patriot ancestors. I am a DAR member who joined as a junior and started my research from scratch as nothing was passed down to me. I would be willing to assist in any genealogical research and perhaps help younger women who may also be looking to join. Geographically speaking, I research the CT and PA quite heavily. Looking forward to getting more involved!

One ancester of mine was Samuel Ford, Sr (Col), of Moriis Co., NJ. His son, Col Jacob Ford was in, as well.

Unfortunately, another son of Samuel was Samuel Ford, Jr, my ancestor. (Ford-3470)

I share this ancestor with Brabara Pierce Bush (Pierce-4).

This one was one of NJ's 1st counterfeiters.

Hey Lisa Martin, I believe I am a new member, but have not done anything. I have Many ancestors who participated in the American revolutionary War. I have been doing a lot of research of ancestors who participated in both the Civil War and the Revolutionary War. Many returned home, and some did not. I want to honor them by researching and finding what is available concerning them.

If there is something special you want me to do, please advise.

Hello, Betty! I would love to be re-added to the project. I'm from Virginia with multiple lines of Patriot Descendants in VA and NC. Currently I am researching the early NC battles at Kings Mountain and Cowpens and how my family may have played a part. As part of this work, I'm in touch w/researchers in NC who have much to offer in this manner. As well, I still have work to add on the VA Patriots.

I would like to help with the 1776 Project. My family has served in every major conflict of this nation since the French and Indian Wars. Although I will continue to work on family member profile improvement, I believe I could help most on either Categorization or the Sticker Teams, but will go where I'm needed most. Thanks
