DNA Confirmation App vs. Help Pages DNA Confirmation Instructions [closed]

Question

Hello, after spending the evening yesterday adding DNA Confirmation information to the family tree I'm building, it was brought to my attention that I was doing it all wrong.  For clarification though, could someone please tell me if the instructions on the Help pages are incorrect, and we are supposed to be using just the app, why hasn't this been updated on the Wiki help?  Is it an either/or situation? Are both templates acceptable, or just the out put from the App?  Thank you for any clarification.

If you marked a parents as Confirmed with DNA, then you need a statement as you have above in the profile where you marked the parent as Confirmed with DNA.

You don't have to use the app to create the statement, if you add all the information as stated above. The app will just make it easier for you to generate the correct citation for the type of DNA match.

Comments

If you don't have the statement added to the profile and you have marked the parents as DNA confirmed, you will generate a suggestion on those profiles.
