Categorization of Free Spage Pages in alphabetical order

I've been working on a category to help the Scotland Project manage its Project Managed Free Space Pages (FSPs) (see https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Category:Scotland_Project_Managed_FSPs) and have been trying to put the pages into some sort of logical alphabetical order (using the normal pipe | symbol). 

However the usual coding for sorting pages in a category into order doesn't seem to work for FSPs. Category Highlands and Islands Witches has been coded as [[Category: Scotland Project Managed FSPs|Witches]] but appears under "H" in the category page.

Is this a "feature", a bug, or is it like the interim save feature that has yet to be implemented for FSPs?

The pipe symbol only works to sort subcategories in alphabetical order, not FSPs.

Supplementary question then, is there a way of sorting FSPs in alphabetical order within a category?

Not that I know of. If anyone else knows better, I would be overjoyed to learn of it!
