For nearly 40 years (1972-2015), Culzean Castle graced the back of the Scottish £5 note, solidifying its position as a national treasure. It remains a symbol of Scottish heritage and opulence.

The Grey Lady (believed to be the spirit of Lady Jane Kennedy) roams the Castle.

The castle was featured in "The Wicker Man" (1973).
