I have a third cousin [[Den_Heijer-133|Maarten den Heijer (1921-1945)]] who died in 1945 in a German forced labour group.

He was not military. How do I categorize this?

Hello Gerry,

there are many sub-categorys for different Holocaust Victims. But there is none for Zutphen or the Netherlands.

I tried to find something about a concentration camp or labour camp in Zutphen before creating a category. I could not find anything, also not in German, English and Dutch Wikipedia.

On the web page you mentioned is written that he died in Zutphen. But where is written that he died in a labour camp?

You are correct, there was no mention of a camp. It was noted in his National Archives files and on his Find a Grave memorial that Maarten was arrested during a raid and died on 31 Jan 1945 in Zutphen, Gelderland, Nederland, aged 23. Based on experience this would have been for some sort of forced labour group.

PS: I have other relatives I have found in similar circumstances.  I have looked at Netherlands, World War II, but no luck finding a suitable categorization; any help would be appreciated.
