I have information to contribute to the profile of Ephraim Smith. This is what I can add:

  • I am trying to add Sarah Smith as the daughter to Ephraim Smith & Margaret Pierce

These are the sources I am using:

Sarah was in a family history or pedigree.<ref>

If you remember your pre-1700 quiz: online trees are not a reliable or acceptable source for pre-1700 profiles.

Ros,

Yes. I remember to not use online trees. However, this appears to be a source for the marriage (Rhode Island Marriages, 1724-1916) which I believe is acceptable, yes?

Sarah married Niles Helme on 9 March 1769 at Saint Pauls Church, Washington, Rhode Island, United States.<ref>

'''Marriage''':

Sarah Bent marriage to Niles Helme on 9 Mar 1769 at Saint Pauls Church, Washington, Rhode Island, United States.

If this is not an acceptable source, please let me know.
The source for the marriage is OK.  However, in your original post, your source was Geneanet Community Trees.  Trees are not supposed to be used.
Thank you!
