I'm trying to trace a branch of the Bonser family that lived in Nottingham in the early 1900's.

I have them in the 1911 census, but there's no record of them in the 1921 census.  I suppose it's possible they all died, but if not, what is most likely, that they emigrated or that they somehow avoided the census?  If they emigrated, what is the best way to find that out?

Typically bad transcription for the 1921 census -Bowser

: William Bowser    Head    M    Married    50    Nottingham, Nottinghamshire, England    Furniture Remover    G Goodliffe Out Of Work
: Mary Ellen Bowser    Wife    F        51    Newark, Nottinghamshire, England    Charwoman    Eduction Committe
: John Bowser    Son    M        22    Nottingham, Nottinghamshire, England    Miner Roadman    Clifton Colliery On Strike
: Harold Bowser    Son    M        17    Nottingham, Nottinghamshire, England    Printer    Boots Chemists

I found that using findmypast's address search which is often useful

It looks like he died in 1939.

I've added a source to the profile but I'll leave you to create the table.
thank you!  Bad transcription never occurred to me as a possibility, but the entry you found is them for sure :)
You're welcome! I have a mental list of options for checking for results but often forget one of them - having a bigger margin on the date of birth is the one I most often forget.
