I do not know if this person Fishtoft (Bell) Coyne (1467) really existed, but I found this profile as an ancestor. The profile was created 10 years ago and currently does not have a profile manager. I cannot touch it as I do not have pre-1500 approval, but such profiles need help from those who can. Thanks!

Thanks Doug
I haven't yet found any reliable information to say she existed but from what I've found so far, I think the first name isn't Fishtoft, that's the name of a Parish in Lincolnshire. Similarly the name of her husband William Coyne, is more likely to be Coney or Conny.

I did come across an Alice Bell married to Sir William Coney in FamilySearch but the only source is Ancestry Family Trees, so not a reliable source, but it might provide other search avenues.

The Visitation of London, p. 26 has a John Lambert of Kirton in Lincolnshire married to Joane dau of ____ Connye of Lincolnshire.  John Lambert also has a sister Joane married to Philipp Conye.  Again this might some other ideas about where to search.

There's a record of William Cony in Common Pleas in 1498:

William Cony, plaintiff, versus Thomas Cony, of Kyrton, husbandman, for trespass: breach of close on William's property at Kyrton and taking goods worth 10 pounds.

Third entry:

Fishtoft being her place of origin seems plausible. It's about 4 miles from Kirton.

I don't think he was Sir William, though. There seems to be a compulsion to make everyone in England a knight or even a lord.

In the Visitation of Lincolnshire there's a William Conny, merchant of the staple, married to __ daughter of __ Bell of Fishtoft.

Thanks Vance, it would be good to find some confirming sources given Visitations aren't the most reliable but that definitely seems to be the couple represented by the profiles.
John, I agree that the Visitations aren't always reliable, but better than what's there now. I think we should change his surname to Cony/Conny and her first name to Unknown.

There is already a profile for William under the surname Coney using the Lincolnshire Visitation as the source. This profile doesn't have a wife attached.

I've adopted them both, and will merge them later today.  I'll change the Bell profile as well.
