Van_Houten-573 and Van_Houten-585 are both listed as Aeltje Roelof Van Houten, born Feb. 13, 1755, died Apr. 23, 1828, wife of Garret Arietse Smith (Smith-184676), however have different parents. Van_Houten-573 is listed as daughter of Roeloff Van Houten (Van_Houten-578) and Catherine Nagel (Nagel-2752) while Van_Houten-585 is listed as daughter of Johannis Van Houten (Van_Houten-990).
Herbert S. Ackerman (The Van Houten Family, 1945, reproduced from his master typescript by Bergen Historic Books in 2001) lists Aeltje, daughter of Johannes-Roelof-Teunise-Roelof and his second wife Catharina Leffer as born Feb. 13, 1775 and baptized at Second River (now Belleville), NJ on March 31, 1775. He gives no further information on this Aeltje.
He also lists Aaltje, daughter of Roelof-Klaes-Teunise-Roelof and Catherine Naugle as born 1756. No baptismal record associated, but he says this Aaltje married Garret Smith and they baptized 4 daughters at Clarkstown and the NYDRC between 1782 and 1793.
I suggest that the two be separated, with Van_Houten-573 keeping the death date, husband and children and having birth date revised to 1756 (uncertain), and Van_Houten-585 keeping the exact birthdate but death date, husband and children removed.
