Trying to source birth or baptism record of Mary E. Brush (Brush-1348) daughter of Stephen Norris Brush (Brush-1102) and Mary D. Smith (Smith-254215) to determine Mary E.'s probable birth year.
The book " The descendants of Thomas and Richard Brush of Huntington, Long Island, Gateway Press, Baltimore, Maryland, 1982. P. 229.

I found information on Stephen Norris Brush and Mary D, Smith's marriage and have confirmed their marriage year of 1845. See Early settlers of New York state : their ancestors and descendants - v. 8, no. 7, 8 (January 1942) p. 298,

Mary E.'s birth/baptism record is important to determine which of the two Mary E. Brush married George Wallace Downs - Brush-1348 or Brush-1099.
I suspect Brush-1099, but that Mary E. has an issue with birth state as listed in various US Census records.
Any help in sourcing record is appreciated.
