I have a challenge of my own.

In checking for duplicates before entering members of the family of an aunt by marriage, I came across multiple duplicates.  There were 2 men named Uriah Sylvester Warner (Sr & Jr).

Warner-2174 has birth & death dates of Sr but the names of his grandparents as parents. The wife of Jr shows as married to Sr.
(Porter-15732).
If this sounds confusing, just imagine how I feel now.  I'm at a loss as to what I should try to do to fix this.  I'm afraid clearing one duplicate is going to leave relationships broken that may not be found.

I try to fix problems in profiles before I merge them.  This works fine if the profile is abandoned.  Work with managers if they are active.  Don't give up!

Thank you for the info.  I can adopt a few of the mixed up ones that are orphaned & disconnect them from amost everyone before merging w/ whichever one it matches.  But there's some that aren't going to be that easy.

I've already been in touch w/ one P.M. about the whole situation.

This is going to take a while.
