On 24 Nov 2023 Nigel Smith wrote on Smith-282736:

This is my paternal grandfather. He died in Formby (now in Merseyside, but at the time in Lancashire) and his death was registered in the Crosby district of Liverpool, not Crosby in Cumberland as indicated in the profile here. His father's family originated from Cumberland, but he was born in Berkshire, raised in London and settled in what is now Merseyside around the age of 20, where he remained until his death. On moving to the Liverpool area he resided originally in the Waterloo district of Liverpool, then Seaforth, then finally settled in Formby where he brought up his family including my father.
