I have adopted some profiles for collaboration into her genealogy research.

This part is amazing!

She is the great granddaughter of not one or two but of “Three” U.S. Civil War Veterans!

I think the Civil War Project will find these veterans very interesting!

Paternal side is CSA veteran William Henry Bell (1843 - 1927)

Maternal side is CSA veteran George Calhoun Wise (1844 - 1898) 

Maternal side is CSA veteran John William Fulwood Murray (1833 - 1920)

Any collaboration in these veterans genealogy is appreciated

I could do it. I work on a bunch of Notables biographies with the USBH project usually, but would be happy to do one for her if you still need someone.

I ended up just working on it offline, then sending a copy to  Robin Lee, N Gauthier, and the US Presidents Project in private messages, so everyone has it for whoever gets to it first. Feel free to just copy/paste into the bio from there when you get it- I'm heading to bed and am not sure when I'll be back on WikiTree tomorrow. And of course, make whatever edits you feel are necessary and check for typos!

Edit: it looks like ref tags get removed from private messages, so you'll need to either add them back in yourself in the biography edit box or add me to the Trusted List and I'll do it.

The funeral was held today at Maranatha Baptist Church in Plains. The casket was transferred to a hearse and departed for private interment at the Carter family residence.

She will be missed

An amazing woman as her nickname was “The Steel Magnolia” for her resolve. America has lost one of its treasures. Over 70 years of marriage what a success story on so many levels.
