I just got the USBH project's hold request category set up for the new-ish Hold Request template. Is there a parent/container category for these project categories (something like "Project Hold Requests")? If not, should there be? I have our general USBH project category as its parent following the linked example for the England project, it just seems like there should also be a general category for all the projects' hold request categories.
True. I was thinking about the Project Maintenance Categories category as an example, though. I've used that one occasionally when I need to look at other projects' maintenance categories that I'm not a part of - probably in situations when I want to see an example of how other projects are doing things. Could also be helpful if something in the future happens where something needs to be added to or changed in the setup of all these categories, or just for checking which projects have a hold category. From Linda's answer, it sounds like different projects are placing them in different places in their category stream, so it may not be the easiest thing to find all of these categories if someone needs to. Is it 100% necessary? Probably not. Would it be helpful? Maybe I'm in the minority on this, but I think yes, at least occasionally, it will be helpful for some people.
Side note: if the England Project's category is going to be the example category linked from the template page, someone should probably update its description on the category page - right now it says "This is an example. It does not yet contain any profiles."
From the very top of this help page:
Hold Requests are Research Note Boxes that may be used on a limited basis to request that members wait until a specified date before editing a profile or communicate before editing.
The creation of this template was discussed in G2G earlier this year here and here.
You could put it under Project Maintenance Category, as Scotland Project has, but England and Canada has it under the Project Category, so it looks like either way would work.
