Cleaning GEDCOM profiles

I uploaded a lot of GEDCOM profiles and I am slowly working my way through them all to 'clean' them up.  Is there anyway I can see a list of which profiles have been cleaned and which ones are still to be cleaned?  Many thanks for any help. :)

I'm doing exactly the same thing. What I do is go to my Watchlist and sort it by "Edit Date" (click on edit date on the top right side of the list). All of the unedited profiles will be at the top and will move down the list once they have been worked on. The main drawback to it is that your list becomes basically random other than that date so if you want to work on specific people you will still have to search for them.

You could run BioCheck app.  It will use any query that Wikitree + can use, such as Creator_Spencer-28172, which would retrieve profiles that 'you' created.

  1. Set the 'How to find Profiles' to WikeTree +
  2. Set the Search Text to Creator_Spencer-28172
  3. Set the Profiles to Report to Detailed report
  4. Unclick the 'Report Style Details'
  5. Set the Search biography for to 'ref_0'
  6. Select the 'Check Profiles' button
The app is normally used to check for profiles that might not be sourced or have style issues, but when you enter something in the Search box, it will also return the profiles where that text is found.  Ref_0 is a common term in gedcom profiles that have not been 'cleaned'.
The Search? Column will have 'Found' for the records where that Search text was found.  You can sort by the headings, if you want to work on a surname, as an example.
You can 'Download CSV', if desired, to have a list to work from

Thank you, I will also try this. smiley

Just tried this I have a lovely 8 page report to start working through.  Many thanks again for your help. smiley

Glad I could help.  That might not find them for everyone, but your profiles didn't seem to have the gedcom name but had Sources, so that search would work.
