Renaming a military home and it's category [closed]

This morning I noticed that one of my watchlist had been edited by EditBot.  The edit was to change the category from National Military Home in Montgomery County, Ohio to Central Branch National Home for Disabled Volunteer Soldiers in Liberty, Ohio.  I don't know where this name came from or why it has been changed.  I thought WikiTree style was to use the location names that were used at the time.  Nowhere in the documentation placing my Civil War veteran are the words ''Central Branch National Home blah blah'' and certainly not in Liberty, Ohio.  The census cited on both Daniel Patterson Armstrong's profile and also a page of the 1880 census which is referred to on the Central Branch National Home space page uses National Military Home in Montgomery County, Ohio. The space page category was also changed.

I  left a comment on the space page since I cannot find a contemporary reference to the civil war veterans who lived at this home.  Additionally, the terms ''disabled volunteer soldiers'' sounds completely foreign to the language that was used to describe veterans in 1880.The military homes that were filled with civil war veterans in Ohio in this time period housed many men who were aged, but certainly not disabled.  The history of Montgomery County book that is referenced on the space page refers  to the place as ''The Soldier's Home'' p. 435 original, p. 422 digital text  Archive.org "History of Montgomery County, Ohio''

Why was the category changed? Where is the reference that states that was the name this national military home was called? If WikiTree style is to use the name at the time, then the original name of National Military Home or The Soldier's home makes a lot more sense.

It was changed to use Dayton as the location and not Liberty. There were several Branch National Homes established in the US.

Wikipedia page, "When founded, it was known as the Central Branch of the National Home for Disabled Volunteer Soldiers, and it is under this name that a portion of its campus, along with the adjacent Dayton National Cemetery, was designated a National Historic Landmark District in 2012, for its role in the history and management of veterans affairs."

The list of them is here:https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/National_Home_for_Disabled_Volunteer_Soldiers

To be clear, using the name of the time mostly applies to data fields, and not necessarily to categories.

I agree that the category should use the location of Dayton, Ohio and the WikiTree space page should reflect that.  The article National Home for Disabled Volunteer Soldiers has a source that is archived (footnote 12) that states that the central branch was located 3 miles west of Dayton when it was approved. the requirement for placement being near/in a major city, near fresh water, and a railroad.

My apologies as I did not realize this category had been added to the profile and I made the assumption that there was a different category whose name had been changed.

Warren, thank you for finding that. Although the cover of the book states 1886, the library donation states it was received in September 1877.  It  is indeed contemporary reference.
