Deleting unwanted images

Someone has place a cartoon style picture on a profile I manage.  I really do not feel it is appropriate for the time period of the child in question or particularly necessary.  I cannot seem to get rid of it and to be honest I hate it!  Anyone got an idea of how to delete it?  It doesn't seem to work by clicking on the image.

There is an infant mortality sticker someone else has added which is fine and more in keeping with the time period.

Hi Carol. Were you notified by a watchlist change that this had happened, or did you just discover it by chance? I'm wondering whether addition of an existing image to another profile is recorded in that profile's change log or not.

Stickers are only supposed to be added to profiles by people who have contributed, and they may be removed by any contributor: see the guidelines. This principle perhaps should also apply to images which like sticker ones are symbolic and not specific to the person in the profile.

Thank you.  Someone else had made an unrelated amendment which came through on my feed.  It was then I found the image.

Looking through the previous amendments I can see someone else added stickers which are fine.  However I just cannot work out who added this image.  It would appear that the same image has been placed on numerous profiles when I click on the image itself.  I am still struggling to remove it despite advice from another contributor.

Thank you for taking time to help me.
I have now removed it.  Thank you.
Thanks for the information, Carol. It seems alarming that if other changes had not been made to the profile, you as manager might not have discovered that the image had been added.

I'm glad you've now been able to return the profile so that it suits your stylistic preferences. The image is now gone, but just as when it was added, there is nothing in the profile change history to show when or by whom it was removed.

Logging of image-related edits has been a concern for a long time (something on the tech "to-do" list). It actually has improved somewhat, but it is still deficient.

The changes log for the image does mention Carol's change, but it says (inaccuratey) that she changed the Photo Date, when in fact she changed "People in the Photo":

09:03: Carol (Aylett) Burman edited the Photo Date... (Aylett-166 updated photo)

I am retagging this question for WikiTech...

ADDED: The changes log for the image shows when the image was uploaded and by whom, and shows when and where (and by whom) it was added as a Primary Photo or Background Image, but it does not document edits that added it to a particular profile as a "People in the Photo."

Thank you for drawing attention to this, Ellen. All changes to a profile need to be notified to people on the Trusted List, so that they can check whether they are appropriate and correct, so this deficiency is a serious one.
This is just one of several issues related to logging of image edits. Images are not well interpreted with profiles.

Click on the picture and, on the page the opens up, search for Margaret Burman's name in the list on the lower left of the page, select REMOVE from image, then go all the way to the bottom of the left-hand column page and click Save Changes to Image Details.

Use the Ctl-F "find in page" function on your browser to search for the name Burman in the long list of profiles on that image page.
At last success!  I have managed to delete it.  Many thanks to you both.
