How to take over profile with no manager that are pre 1500

I am looking at taking over some profiles in my family ancestry  that  do not have managers and they are pre 1500.  When I click to adopt ...I get a knock back there is no manager to message and no trusted list!

When I click the adopt i get a knock back and I can not add to the profile or to the trusted list.

Whats the answer?

I am not pre 1500 certified(!)

The solution would be to apply for the Pre-1500 certification, so that, as the PM, you can edit the profiles that you manage.  Should duplicate profiles be found, a manager that is unable to assist with the merge or other edits is a problem.

Until I’m certified for pre 1500 I will ask a certified person to carry out any work.

In order to adopt or edit a pre-1500 profile you must be certified.

If you are not pre-1500 certified, do not look to adopt those profiles.  Non-pre-1500 certified PMs are a huge bottleneck.  A script was just run to remove non-pre PMs, and there were something like 42 THOUSAND bottlenecks removed.  Much better (if you really really want to adopt those profiles) to get certified.
