Just a general question:

If a couple have lets say 10 children and I create profiles for all 10 children. I now add the baptism for each on their profile.

Is it wrong to add all 10 the baptism records as proof unto the profile (inline citation) of the parents? Does it not make the parents profiles too buzy by doing so?

Hi Marco. Different people have different views on this, and it's a decision profile managers are free to make for themselves. In my own opinion, citing them all does make the parent profiles too busy; it also means that if a source has to be updated, that needs to be done in multiple places instead of just one. So I usually just give a list of the children, and add a single inline reference saying something like "For sources and details see the individual profiles."

Marco, it is the best practice to add the sources that have a primary relationship to the profile concered. For example the father.s baptism goes on the father's profile and the child's on the child's. While doing research you may collect sources on a certain profile for other profiles until you are ready to add the other profiles.
