It's not currently possible to split family trees on Ancestry®, but there are two ways to get similar results: duplicating your tree, and saving people from one tree to another.

WikiTree is all about one family tree.  We don't split trees .

Cathy may be trying to split her Ancestry Tree in order to create a Gedcom that is suitable for being uploaded here.
